Workshops & Trainings

“Lifelong learning takes you on a journey to greater heights.”

Dr. Sheila R. Thomas

My Why!

Dr. Thomas is passionate about supporting both parents and early childhood professionals on the different steps they can take to ensure the children under their care are exposed to the most supportive and encouraging learning environments.

Dr. Thomas’ years of professional expertise, coaching exposure, and experience in parenting now successful black and brown boys of her own have equipped her with secrets and steps to supporting parents who desire to raise bold and brilliant children of their own.

Even though she enjoys supporting parents, she’s also driven to work alongside early childhood professionals and institutions who are ready to change up their learning environments by providing the support, resources and guidance that their students need to succeed.

Parents of Black and Brown Boys

Studies reveal a troubling trend: minors from disadvantaged backgrounds are more likely to face incarceration due to harsh school punishments and literacy challenges. This phenomenon, known as the school-to-prison pipeline, disproportionately affects Black boys, who often lack access to necessary resources and opportunities. To combat this, Dr. Thomas has developed a course that empowers parents with the tools to advocate for their young sons, ensuring their success in both school and life.

Early Childhood Providers

Dr. Thomas conducts training for staff in all daycare and elementary school settings. She is an approved Georgia Bright from the Start Trainer, providing training for child care licensing credit. Want to set up a training workshop?
