Don’t let fear grip you from doing all you can to advocate for your son and ensure his success. You do not have to be an expert. You have to be involved and dedicated. As a parent of black sons, I understand how you feel. That’s why I created the “Raising Brilliant Black Boys” course.

As an educator for over 35 years, I have also seen the struggles our black and brown boys encounter at school, which can be discouraging for both them and us as parents who desire the best for them. Through this workshop, I aim to help parents like you establish better relationships with their sons and teachers through excellent communication and supportive advocacy practices.

I want to partner with you and share strategies, practices, and resources to support your parenting journey. The primary goals are to work together to close the literacy gaps among black and brown males and dismantle the school-prison pipeline.
